Service Description

Distance: 1.4km (circular) Bring: Hat, sunscreen, water, shoes with grip Duration: 1.5 hours depending on our pace Local artist Anita Revel is leading a “Woven Walk” to foster community, connection, mindfulness and ART! We will be following a rocky track in Big Rock Reserve, Dunsborough. This walk to the lookout is a pleasant walk with lots of logs over the track to step over. The trail visits the landmark rock outcrop and features beautiful bushland and views to the bay. At the lookout, we will conduct our cyanotype print component of the walk, using foliage collected along the route. The cyanotype printing process involves light-sensitive chemical-treated paper, arranging an object on top, exposing it to ultraviolet (UV) light, and then rinsing it with water to develop the print. (Warning: it’s an addictive art form!) —— “Woven Walks” is a regular offering by the volunteers of Woven, on the second Sunday of every month. Follow us on Instagram to be first in the know.

We gather today in this special place to continue our learning journey together.  We acknowledge the Wadandi people as the traditional custodians of the land upon which we stand. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and recognise their continuing spiritual connection to land, water and community.
