Winter is the perfect time to discover the fascinating fungi that emerge across our local forests. Join Adva, the local "Mushroom Lady", for an engaging and educational introduction to foraging. Learn about fungi and our local environment - how to appreciate it, rules for safe foraging and laws around foraging in Australia. We’ll explore the forest finding beautiful fungi and learn about 1 edible mushroom and how to identify it. We’ll finish with a cuppa – relax and enjoy a warm cup of medicinal mushroom tea, proudly supplied by Supreme Shrooms. Whether you're new to foraging or simply love spending time in nature, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore the hidden world of fungi in a safe, informative, and enjoyable setting. Location: To be announced one week prior to the workshop. Registered participants will receive the meeting location via email. Please Note: This workshop is an introduction to mushroom foraging only, and is designed for participants 12 years and over. We kindly ask that you leave the little ones at home and take the opportunity to enjoy some uninterrupted time immersed in nature. The workshop involves walking through the forest and focuses on the safe identification of mushrooms, making it best suited to older participants.
