Kundalini Yoga, known as the Yoga of Awareness, combines Pranayama (breathwork), mantra (sound), Kriya (intentional, repeated actions/ asana ) and meditation as tools to discover and develop our true inner selves. Classes are gentle yet dynamic prompting you to connect fully with the breath in each moment, leading to greater awareness and wellbeing. A safe practice with powerful, positive effects on the mind and emotions. A yoga for people coping with the stresses and challenges of a daily, modern life. The practice enhances mental clarity, strengthens and relaxes the nervous system and harmonises the glandular system. Imbalances are corrected and life energy increases and flows unimpeded. It can be undertaken by all manner of bodies and abilities, even wheelchair bound people gain vast benefits. When undertaken more deeply and regularly this yoga becomes the Yoga of Consciousness, raising higher levels of energy, soul potential and intuitive, inner vitality.
