what we offer:
Bi-monthly facilitated workshops, exploring a variety of crafts and mediums e.g. painting, macrame, pottery, knitting, mosaics, textiles and sculpture. Every 2nd and 4th Thursday evening of each month 7pm-10pm at The Cowaramup District Social Club
Weekly studio time; a space where members can come and work on projects freely, whether continuing the theme of the workshops or a current home project. Access to resources such as sewing machine and overlockers are available, and crafting resources can be purchased at cost.
Our membership includes membership to The Cowaramup District Social Club, Cowaramup's own hub for social gatherings and connection.
We have many isolated families due to FIFO work or relatives living long distances away. It takes a village to raise a family and Woven will help our villages to be built by providing regular opportunities for the community to engage.
Mental health and mental well being is central to our mission. We want to create a network of nurturing for local women in need of support, and a safe space where they can practice self-care.
We will offer a wide variety of crafts and experiences, giving women access to equipment and instructors. We also want to foster the intergenerational sharing of knowledge to ensure skilled craftsmanship is preserved.
